CAD Western Cape is funded by the Department of Social Development which made is possible to employ a registered Social worker who delivers services from our office based in Kuilsriver, Western Cape.

*Services are free of charge*

The Social worker’s services are as follows:

Aftercare Services (Aftercare starts once a client is discharged from rehab or completed an Outpatient programme or Community Based intervention programme at a registered Organisation).
An Individual Aftercare Plan/Treatment plan is developed in consultation, with the service user.
The social worker implements at least 6 – 8 relapse prevention individual therapeutic sessions.
The social worker implements group work which focus on relapse prevention and sobriety maintenance, as well as referrals to self-help groups
The social worker assists in referrals to various Rehabilitation Centres and/or Community Based Treatment Organisations.
The social worker links service users to economic and other opportunities e.g., Skills development, sport, spiritual enrichment programs; and
Family members of the service user are encouraged to become involved in the service user’s programme.
